Description: WWII Era US Army M3 Trench Knife Guard Marked: US M3 CASE - w/3rd Pattern US M8 Scabbard - Very NICE ConditionUp for sale is a WWII Era US Army M3 Trench Knife w/3rd Pattern US M8 Scabbard. This is a guard marked version of this knife. The blade is marked: US M3 CASE. A tiny nick in the blade and spot of surface pits near the tip of the blade, see photos. Minor finish wear on the blade. There is no evidence of excessive. It has a stacked leather washer handle. The leather handle has some minor nicks and the normal handling marks, see photos. The guard and pommel are tight. The scabbard is a 3rd pattern US M8 scabbard, with the belt hook. The scabbard is marked: US M8 over B.M. Co. There are no cracks or chips in the body of the scabbard. Some minor pitting on the metal throat of the scabbard. See photos. During WWII there were 2,590,240 M3 Knives made, of that total Case manufactured only 300,465. Please see M.H.
