Description: Fully functional and beautifully preserved 100 ohm 4-C landline relay made by Western Electric bearing a 1903 patent date (see close-up photo). Resistance was measured at 100 ohms with an ohmmeter with all original parts and could be used in a working display. Bears the Western Union ID tag. At one point in its lifetime in use it was serviced at the New York Repair Shop (“N.Y.R.S.”) of Western Union, as indicated with the stamp on the underside.
