West Point U S Navy freighter WW1 photo built Portland Or 1918 Gale 11 x 14

Description: Military freighter built for the U S Navy in 1918 .. vessel named West Point .. hand tinted 11 x 14" photo framed .. 1918 .. signed Gale. the men are dressed in coats and white shirts ..not fishing attire. U S Navy ??? this came with an early photo of a research vessel run by United States Fishing commission... photo is framed and my photo is taken under glass so a bit glaring.. i didnt remove from frame. can you identify background? i learned this freighter was built in Portland Oregon and was used to ship war cargo to Europe during WW1. the local maritime museum identified it for me.. it belonged to USBB. U S Navy .. after the war ended.. S S West Point used as cargo vessel after the war
