Description: This is an awesome vintage Colgate University Red Raiders Medium Basketball Team Issued Long Sleeved T-shirt. The T measures: 20” from armpit to Armpit & 26” from top of shirt to bottom hem. The tee reads: “COLGATE RAIDERS” in White with Black trim & Maroon, along with a Maroon basketball in the center. Manufactured by Alstyle Athletic & built for comfort, I am sure it will be your favorite go to T when the Raiders hit the hardwood. The Gate changed their Red Raiders nickname in 2001 when my Son played football for Patriot League rival Lehigh University. Having followed Colgate athletics for decades and enjoying the rivalry, the trip up to Hamilton, New York and the memorable experiences meeting the players from Colgate at the team hotel. Very funny story, when my Son was riding on the team bus through the rolling hills, as he got off the bus he said, hmmm this looks like a good place to put a college, right here!! Which was funny at the time because all you see are fields and rolling hills and farms and then all of a sudden Colgate University! One of his teammates coined the phrase “Hate the Gate” haha. Thoroughly enjoyed the Patriot League games and our visits which we still make when the two teams play to this day. I believe that I bought this shirt 20+ years ago and it is in very nice condition, with just some fade to the original jet black, but the Raiders and the basketball are fantastic.
