Description: Offered here is a vintage thin plastic or vinyl sign. It is double sided. One side reads, "Be a ... PENNY PINCHER - Our Coupons Save You Money! - THE DUNCAN BANNER." The other side reads, "Save dollars with COUPONS from your THE DUNCAN BANNER." This is from Duncan, Oklahoma - a town with a population of around 22,000. I'm NOT SURE - but I "THINK" this was made to insert into a metal frame on top of a newspaper vending machine. The Duncan Banner was founded in 1892, and is still around today! (Like may small town newspapers, it is struggling. They only publish three days a week, and circulation is down to 5,000.) The sign does not have a date, but it looks to be circa 1970's - give or take. It measures 11 by 17 inches. The condition is VERY GOOD with some minor wear, soiling and scratches. The white has yellowed from exposure to the sun. (See last photo with a corner shown on a bright white background.)
