THE CLOCK AND WATCH STORE Click images to enlarge Description Maker:  Unknown Maker c.1940's Model:  Seamless Bushing Wire Description: This listing is for a wooden cylinder/tube of Seamless Bushing Wire used for clock repair. Having a bushing machine with Bergeon or KMW bushings is always nice but no matter how hard you try, it is very difficult to blend the new bushings in with the movement's plate. Bushing wire is how its done. There are 10 brass wires of assorted diameters and hole sizes and then there are another 7 smaller bronze wires of assorted diameters and hole sizes. What is nice about bushing wire is, you can turn it down on a lathe to make it a smaller diameter so you don't have a huge hole to fit into on the movement's plate. These wires allow you to blend the new bushing into the clock's movement plate to make it almost invisible when you are through. Yes, they require a little more work to use the wire however, when you have that valuble antique that you want to remain valuble, you do the work so it looks like it has never been done with bushing wire. I take great care in packaging all the items being sold but, I especially take extra precautions when packing clocks. I do everything I can to prevent your clock arriving damaged. Due to rising costs and some areas no longer being the rates they used to be, I no longer will offer large wall clocks with free shipping.
