Description: Vintage Original Selmer Paris Mark VII Alto Saxophone. This one appears as hardly used, has a few minor blems and signs of wear but so slight. Bright looking professional alto saxophone. Serial number 271930 dates to.1977. I am not a professional sax player but know my way around the instrument. This one has great sound, and the pads have a lot of life left. Does not need any work, will play for you right out of the case. I played all the Selmer Paris saxes at one time or another and always stayed away from the Mark VII. This was an extraordinary experience for me, because I felt that the fingering was much more responsive and allowed me to move through the chromatics better than I ever have. I also feel that the intonation here is superb and is as good as and even better than the few Mark VI 's that I have played. You will not be disappointed with this horn. Has a nice hard case, but not the original Selmer Case. Numbers match on horn. Sold as found and as pictured, but tested and plays beautifully, with a real super sound.
