Description: Vintage Large 8.5" Jar w Paper Label WATER GLASS Roger A Pilson New Windsor MD Click images to enlarge Description Here is a 8.5" jar with a zinc lid and a paper label for a product that I had never heard of WATER GLASS (silicate soda). Turns out it is for preserving eggs! The label reads Robert A Pilson Prescription Pharmacist, New Windsor, Maryland. As I recall I put the label on the jar to preserve it as it had several edge tears and seemed rather fragile to be laying around as loose piece of paper. I never noticed before but one might be able to put a small bail handle on it as there are 2 tiny indents up head the lip just below the zinc lid. The jar is about 4.5" ascross at the widest part. The bottom of the jar is marked with the familiar HA for Hazel Atlas. Please review the photos, as always they are the best description.
