Description: A graceful example of mid 20th century hand painted majolica figurine of canaries resting with a branch of white flowers. This 7 inch tall ceramic item is very intricate and is miraculously in perfect condition. I think that the Doctor's family in NC that formerly owned it, must have only touch it one time when it went into the curio cabinet. The blossoms are so beautifully thin, delicate and perfectly arranged. The grass is so detailed that they look like short pieces of uncooked green dyed vermicelli noodles. This all sits on an attached white scalloped stand with embossed scrolls and ruffles. The stand measures about 5 1/2" x 4" Marked K68g Italy. Will be wrapped very, very carefully so that it arrives to you the way it leaves me.
