Description: This porcelain demitasse or espresso cup and saucer was made by Furstenberg of Germany. It has the mark used from 1949-1990, and pattern mark A 204, and also the mark Offentliche Versicherung Braunschweig. This mark is for the Public Insurance of Braunschweig, and Furstenberg has done a number of Limited-Edition promotional giveaway pieces for this company. They often did a plate of the year designed by noted designers. I've not found any patterns like this little cup and saucer. It is beautiful Art Nouveau Revival style that was popular in the 1980s. The cup measures approximate 2 3/8" tall, and 2 1/2" wide, not including the handle. The saucer is 4 5/8" in diameter. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks. There is very minor surface wear. It is such a unique and interesting piece! Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking! Fragile items are packaged securely and with care.
