Description: Vintage Ecolite "Economy" Railroad Lantern with Red Glass Lens Battery Operated This unique old Lantern has been rewired and is in working condition. Lantern is powered by a standard 6 volt lantern battery. Date of manufacture is unknown. Lantern has two light control switches. One round, located on back side of lantern used to select bottom flood lamp or reflector beamed flashlight. The other hidden control switches ON the large red glass "Cyclops" lamp. Switched ON by rotating red lens holder housing clockwise. A #407 flashing bulb has been installed to make it flash. Condition Lantern outer surfaces have not been cleaned and still a bit dirty, bottom stand has noticeable rust and is a bit wobbly, battery compartment clean,handle is bent. Lantern measures 12 inches from bottom of stand to top of handle. Lamp housing is aprox 6 1/2 inches in diameter at widest center. Weighs 1 pound 12 ounces without battery.
