I did test this with a D battery and could not get him to come out of the dog house. Everything looks basic/simple inside the house so it may have just been user error as I don’t see any issues Complete with the original box. Box does have some wear all around. Really neat piece if you are a tin toy collector. I have a few I keep and display for myself but I constantly rotate my collection due to space.
