This old can is from the era when kitchens were shifting from coffee pots as indicated by the bold, "New for Electric Percolators” transitional text. Additional advertising text includes the trademarked slogan, “The Coffee Delicious”. The 2# can is 6-1/2” tall with 5”ø. The traditional Butter-Nut colors of red, white, and blue were already eye-catching; but add to those colors the top yellow band with large block texted ‘New’ in front of the red, “for Electric Percolators” text and it really stands out. Topping it off is the plastic yellow lid coordinated with the yellow top band on the steel can. Old steel coffee cans are collectible and this Butter-Nut can indicating the transition to electric percolators sets it apart.
