The top looks like it is porcelain or enamel... is definitely very hard and in good condition. Looks like a tile of some sort. Anyway there are two logos on the side and as you can see in the pictures it is in good condition. It does have a little rust from use and age! 8 inches tall. The scale would look super great anywhere in your home! Also please see pictures for description and size. The scale was patented in 1906 in Chicago and abroad. At least this is what it says on the back.... it also says it is a regulating scale.... open up the small silver area on the back and adjust the screw. Super nice scale which will add some amazing charm to your home!
