Description: NOT REAL I VORY Chinese Export Art Deco, Estate Find Chinese beaded necklace, Hand carved Bovine Cow bone with focal beads and the most beautiful carved reticulated floral pendant Definitely Hand carved, tool marks are obvious, lots of pierced reticulated cut work Extra long at 84cm, not including the 70mm pendant Carved screw barrell clasp Its so pretty and unusual, and I have worn it many times over the years. I especially like the six long, rectangular beads pierced designs on all sides. Dramatic and delicate, it gets a lot of comments. Circa 1950 to 1960 All original, no repairs. A lovely long necklace of hand carved round beads and 6 long columnar beads with a pierced design. The necklace ends in a large detailed basket with a large chrysanthemum, leaves, and smaller flowers. The pendant has a carved peony flower as the hero central focus. The necklace is a creamy ivory-white - the photos make some of the beads look darker, but the contrast is not so evident when seen. None of the beads appear "brown" to the eye. I believe this is bone. It is a natural material, not celluloid. The necklace has the original screw clasp which works well,but the necklace can be slipped over the head. It has not been restrung. The original cotton thread shows no weak areas, No damages, no issues - just beautiful, ....
