Aimed primarily at recreational boaters on inland lakes and waterways as well as the Great Lakes. Includes safety procedures and safety equipment requirements, navigational aids, common operating and maneuvering information, emergency help, etc. Defines different categories of watercraft by length and/or power (ie; engine, sail, oars, etc). The pamphlet is in very nice condition for its 35 year age. Although this State publication has no copyright date or publication date info printed anywhere inside, its 1984 date was deduced by the information cited in the content of the pamphlet. Also, it was found deep in a corner of a storage compartment of a 1987 cabin cruiser being refurbished.
