Very little is found on a simple last name, however more than likely the great painting is by one Walter Dunk, born in Philadelphia in 1855 who studied at the PA Academy; moved to New York in the early 1900s which might support his signature: Dunk NY, to pursue a career. Little is known by the artist except that he had 'Designer and Illustrator' listed on his stationery. A great front cover --- The music ALWAYS has a direct connection to the history-culture, However, a Framed cover of this great 'masculine' cover would be quite a gift for someone whose decor and surroundings are filled with such historically-themed art.
