The medal (or badge as it was referred to in Soviet times) was one of the top decorations of the Soviet Komsomol organization, awarded by its Central Committee. The award is Very well-made! The pendant is of riveted two-piece construction, in solid brass with gold plating and silver plating. Medallion measures approx. 25 mm in width, 28 mm in height (with eyelet). The suspension device shows logo of the Moscow Mint on the reverse. The medal is in EXCELLENT condition. The gold plating on the obverse has retained most of its original luster.
