Description: This is a Vintage 1963 Skipper outfit from Mattel. The RED SENSATION Dress, Hat, Shoes, Socks, and (one) Glove are All Original and in EXCELLENT shape (except the hat has a few issues). Everything in the Lot is extremely CLEAN, though a little wrinkled. The shoes, socks, and glove are in MINT condition, the shoes are stamped Japan. The dress would be in MINT shape too but the upper right "button" is loose. As can be seen in the photos, the hat has some frays and is a bit misshapen due to not being stored well. It does still have the headband attached inside, is clean and not too faded. This lovely outfit is Near Complete, I'm just sorry it's missing a glove. Though it was played with, there are no holes, stains, etc and is from a pet and smoke free home. This set is featured in the the "Junior-Edition Styles for Skipper" Catalog from 1963. Next to the picture the description says "RED SENSATION #1901. Red means go - everywhere - for Skipper, in this sleeveless dress with brass buttons. Accessories include a straw hat with red streamers, short white gloves, white socks and red shoes." The outfit is perfect for collectors or anyone who wants to dress up their Skipper, Barbie's Little Sister, doll. Her outfit matches Barbie's "Sheath Sensation" outfit #0986.
