Description: This is a fully serviced, working Royal “Quiet DeLuxe” portable manual typewriter with its original hard-shell carrying case and brand new two color ink ribbon. For replacements, this typewriter uses the readily available universal ribbon spools which is easily found on most online shopping sites. It types extremely smoothly and is a really great machine to use. This typewriter has been fully serviced and adjusted to bring it back to typing condition. The typewriter and case feature normal wear for their age (see photos). Every body panel has been removed and has separately gone through the complete cleaning process. Each type slug has been fully cleaned to ensure clear printing on your paper (see photos for type test). A brand new two color ink ribbon has also been installed. PLEASE NOTE that this typewriter features its original GLASS keys - none of which are cracked. Each one has been cleaned (see photos). As mentioned before, this typewriter types extremely smoothly with NO BINDING. Each key has been fully tested and doesn’t stick/bind. Every time a Quiet Deluxe comes through the shop I’m impressed by how nice they are to use. These typewriters were extremely popular during their day, leading for many years as Royal's best selling, highest-end portable typewriter. It truly is a typewriter which can be taken anywhere, which contributes to why these were so popular. After the servicing process this truly is a wonderful typewriter to use, and I’ve typed on it extensively while servicing it.
