Description: This is a one-of-a-kind HANDMADE Sandworm diorama with a quick getaway door portal! The door does not open--no matter now long the sand worm will be waiting for Geena Davis, Winona or Jenny to peek through lmao... I made this sculpture with metal and clay, and painted the result by hand. The sand dunes are also sculpted clay..To make the door, I cut and painted recycled wood and sanded lightly so it has a very rough feel and look, and attached a clay doorknob (baked and painted) prior to sealing to the wall. This does not exist anywhere else. I tried to make the sand worm look just like a puppet and even carved out the eyes and then placed them back into the sockets, placed sharp metal to strengthen the gnarly teeth, soaked the worm dentures in mouthwash to get rid of their stink, just kidding...The doorway/frame was made similar to the first film. I tried matching what I appreciated in the film. This is a fixed sculpture and should not be moved. While the plexiglass slides out, I would advise against sliding any of it, since contacting the clay would cause irreparable scratches. There are very sharp wires coming out of the teeth, and metal scraps protruding out of this piece. Coupled with the fragile plexiglass windows, this is NOT suitable for children, homes with inquisitive children or even pet cat children that knock things down from the shelving. Diorama measures around 10" long x approximately 5" wide x 2.4" thick.
