Christened George, this archetypal country bumpkin's fellow rustics pronounce his name Jarge in a typical West County accent. His ruddy complexion tells its own tale of long days in the summer sun asleep in the hay. Certainly not a handsome fellow, his proclivity for straw sucking can be quite irritating if indulged to excess. When there is work to be done in the fields, he may very well be found in the hayloft with a milkmaid.
