Description: Nicely restored Supertone Parlor guitar from the 1930s. 36 inches long. Ladder braced. Solid Birch top back and sides. Original Ebony fretboard. Custom Ebony nut. Original bridge with brass saddle. Original tuners. Slotted headstock. Mulitple repaired cracks. The one hidden under the pickguard is a bit unsightly, but it is solidly repaired and cleated. (as shown in later pics). Plays well. Made in Chicago in the early days of the Harmony guitar company. Very cool country and/or blues birch box acoustic guitar. This guitar was in bad shape when I acquired it. Crack repair and warp repair was successfully completed. The neck was reset at the time, but after sitting for decades without tension and in disrepair, new string tension has caused the action to be higher than ideal. Pretty sure it has settled at this point. It still plays in tune well. And since it is a short scale guitar, the lower string tension allows playability up the neck without too much trouble. All the braces and seams have been reglued with titebond. The dovetail neck joint is shimmed and glued in with hot hide glue. It could be steamed apart and reset again if desired. But I think it's a nice loud player with the high action. This is one of those things in which I put way more work into than it could ever hope to pay for in the end. Regardless of that, I think k 250 is right about a fair market price. Sold as is. No returns. I had made a recording of this, but something was wrong with the sample rate and it was sped up. I deleted it. Since it's all packed up, I may not get around to doing a new recording any time soon.
