Description: Up for sale is a super rare pink or mauve opaline two piece blown glass oil lamp from most likely the 1700s and deriving from Europe. There is hand applied violet colored stippling then refired and hand painted . You can see the hole in the bottom section from when this piece was hand blown then attached to the font. Also this is a very old English style tin collar which appears to have been run through the ringer as it is in bad shape but the threads are good. The burner is unmarked but of European appearance and fits a kosmos shade. The actual shade is a MacBeth Pearl Glass 58 chimney. The lamp measures just over 11" to the top of the collar and 22" to the top of the chimney. There are similar lamps to this shown in Thuros Oil Lamps II book on page 136. Thanks for Looking!!!!
