Description: Nelson Rockefeller was a grandson of billionaire John D. Rockefeller, and devoted his life to philanthropy, art collecting, politics and serving the public. He was a long-time governor of New York, (1959-1973) and was appointed U.S. Vice-president under Gerald Ford. One of the more liberal members of that party, (a liberal conservative!), fellow believers became known as "Rockefeller republicans." One of the great things about 1968 for political collectors is that there were several, large quantity sets of presidential campaign posters issued at the time which are quite creative. The set which this 23" x 35" heavy paper example made by Posters, Inc. of Holyoke, Massachusetts came from include Nixon, Humphrey, LBJ, McCarthy, Reagan, RFK, Percy and some others, including this one for Rockefeller. All made with bright colors and a graphic, psychedelic, "mod" design, these posters are just about the most sought after of all the '68 examples, being fun to collect and way cool to display in a frame. But, to do so for them all will pretty much fill an entire room! This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge this for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase since it does have some age and use wear. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. We'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases even though eBay says we won't. We just issue a refund for any overpayment. Shipping on this will be over $10.00 because of its size and will be determined by your location. But it will be carefully packed with tracking rolled in a tube. 9346
