The Boyd tartan was created in 1948 for the Earl of Kilmarnock and registered with the Lord Lyons office in 1957. Because the Earls of Kilmarnock are descended from both the Hays and the Stewarts, their tartan combines elements from the Hay-Leith tartan and the hunting Stewart tartan. In very good condition. No stains. 100% virgin wool. A few tiny holes (see last photo) which are not noticeable. The skirt is clipped to fit the mannequin. The size on the 2012 tag is a 14. Flat measurements are approximately 15 inches across the waist x 31 inches from the waist to the bottom hem. No lining and there is a side zipper and button closure. We ship the next business day.
