Kutna Hora is a district town in the Central Bohemia region.In the past, silver was mined in the area. In the 13th century, the city produced approximately one third of European silver production.At the beginning of the reign of King Wenceslas II. "silver fever" broke out in the locality of today's Kutna Hora.In 1922, a branch of the Club Za starou Praha was founded in Kutna Hora, which advocated the preservation of the character of the historic center of the city.The historic center of the city's conservation area together with the church of St. Barbory and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Sedlec have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1995.
