Description: SEE ALLOF THE PICTURES This is a great lot of (1000) + virtually ALL TOWN & TYPE LOCAL PRECANCELS. There are (25) DIFFERENT STATES represented and most of these are from the 1920's-1940's. There are also some earlier and later issues from various states. There are some duplicates noted. There are a few here and there with original gum. NOTE: There are stamps that are LOOSE , MOUNTED , MOUNTED ON PAPER, MOUNTED ON PARTIAL PAGES and there may also be stamps which are stuck to one another or to stuck to paper. (see pictures) This is a nice lot with unsorted and unresearched stamps. These are virtually ALL WITHOUT GUM and these would appear to be virtually all LOCALS. (lot # 71) This lot offers a nice variety states and towns. This is a nice unresearched lot that is offered as found. There may be a tiny thin, a bend, a fault covered up by stuck stamps or stamps mounted on paper. The loose stamps were looked at to determine condition and there are no large thins, no tears or other major damage noted. It is certainly possible that we have missed a small flaw or fault. NOTE : There are "stuck" stamps and there may be a need to "soak" them in order to increase collectability. If you DO NOT know how "soak" stamps properly or do not like soaking stamps then please do not bid. If you buy multiple lots that are similar in format then there may be duplicates.
