Description: GM new old stock lot of 16 lifters, part# 5231740. This part number is also commonly known as HL-15 lifters. Here are applications we found in GM parts books. Buick: 1967 400 & 430 V8 engines and 1968-69 all V8. Cadillac: 1957 2nd type and 1958-66 all V8 engines. Could be more applications, but we could not find other uses. PLEASE only purchase if you know for sure these will work for you - no warranty and no returns. A friend is building a 60's Buick Nailhead engine and the aftermarket lifters he is using are causing all sorts of issues, after failed startup attempts, he is having a professional machine shop go through every lifter - some are rough inside, so the springs do not work properly. He would have used NOS but cannot find any and was forced into using China-cheap aftermarket, plus, they were more expensive than this set we are listing and machine work will cost him even more. Here is a set of 16 genuine GM and should work as GM intended. The moral of his story: Do not use repops unless there is no other option! We only handled these lifters with cloth gloves on, look at photos, they are great looking lifters, but we cannot offer any warranty or returns.
