Simply lift the Velcro tab located on the cat's tummy and push the tab to the "on" position. There is also a mute setting if you do not want the cat to purr and meow. The fur is realistic and soft, and the eyes and mouth will open and close depending on the sensor triggered. The meow and purring are very realistic. The cat is an orange and white tabby and is in new condition. The box was opened for testing purposes and pictures only. Although the box says there is a cat brush, there was no cat brush in the box. Any brush will do. A bonus cat bed will be included for kitty to roll over in (see pictures). This interactive pet received a Caregiver Friendly Award and was the winner of the Dementia Smart Award from the Dementia Society.
