Description: New CD Nile -Vile Nilotic Rites- from Japan Description Description Niall's ninth new album in four years. Technical, heavy, brutal. And of course, Egyptian colors are in full swing again this time. With new member Brian Kingsland (guitar/vocals), the trademark triple death vocals are back for the first time in a long time! Nile, a death metal band from South Carolina, was formed in 1993 by the only remaining original member, Karl Sanders (guitar/vocals/keyboards). After releasing two demos and an EP, they signed with Relapse Records. In 1998, they released their debut album, "Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka." Their highly technical songs and, as the band name "Nile" suggests, their unique style of music, with a strong inclination towards Middle Eastern culture, especially Egypt, have created a big sensation in the extreme metal world. Incorporating Middle Eastern instruments and melodies is a common phrase in the rock world, but Nile is in a class of its own. Not only does Karl play traditional instruments such as the bouzouki, but he also has a deep knowledge of ancient Egyptology that is beyond the pale. Nile's music is made real by his songs and lyrics, which are backed by solid knowledge. Niall released their second album, Black Seeds of Vengeance, in 2000, their third album, In Their Darkened Shrines, in 2002, and their fourth album, Annihilation of the Wicked, in 2005. Niall is a band that changes members a lot. All four albums have different members. After that, they signed with Nuclear Blast Records, the largest label in the extreme metal world, Germany. They released four studio albums: Ithyphallic (2007), Those Whom the Gods Detest (2009), At the Gate of Sethu (2012), and What Should Not Be Unearthed (2015). Niall has visited Japan five times, including at Loud Park in 2007, so there are probably many metal fans who have seen them perform on stage. Now, their ninth album, Vile Nilotic Lights, is being released. This album, produced with new member Brian Kingsland (guitar/vocals), is of course the full Nile world. It is full of brutal death metal. Technical, heavy, and sometimes exotic. The old horror movie soundtrack taste also adds a unique atmosphere to the album. Brian is not only a great guitarist, but also a master of brutal death voices, and the trademark triple vocal attack has been revived. The mix and mastering by master Mark Lewis is also superb. As George Kollias (drums) declares, "Nile's best sound quality ever" and "sound quality that is beyond words," it is heavy, powerful, and yet the production is perfect, with every detail of the riffs being audible. This is the first new work in four years from Nile, one of the pioneers of technical death metal. If you are a death metal fan, you should not miss it.
