Description: This listing is for a huge section of frill from the rare ceratopsian Torosaurus found in the Hell Creek Formation of Slope County, ND. The bone has been pieced back together with cracks filled with Paleo Putty for stabilization. The bone quality is excellent with deep blood vessel grooves and the piece is very solid and heavy. It appears to be a section of the middle of the frill called a parietal. It measures 24.5” across at its longest straight line dimension. There is a custom plaster jacket that was made for The frill to sit in during shipment. This ensures a fragile time like this survives and stays together while being shipped. It can be easily pulled out of the one sided jacket once the buyer has it.
