Description: I have been collecting Steinbach German Wooden Christmas Ornaments for over 50 years and have over 350 (Yikes!) We are downsizing and I am selling my collection. These 9 Steinbach ornaments are “toys” that haven’t been made routinely for over 30 years. They are pictured in a 1981-1982 catalog (see catalog pictures). The Steinbach label on the bottom says, “Steinbach Volkskunst aus Hohenhameln-Made in Germany.” I adjusted the strings from 5” to 3”, so the ornament did not touch the tree branch below. The ornaments include those that have the Steinbach sticker and those that do not. I have included picture of those with sticker. Many of these “toys” move: when you open the coffee grinder there is a tiny wooden mouse in the drawer (too cute!), the airplane propeller turns and the well handle rotates. The Steinbach factory in Germany was run by a Steinbach family member for more than 2 centuries. Christian Steinbach passed away suddenly in 2008. The company went bankrupt in 2015 and the family sold their workshops. The factory reopened under new ownership without a Steinbach attached. The new owner has given the Steinbach ornaments a new look and shape. (4)
