Texas Tyler, Carl Belew, Texas Jim Robertson, Marvin Rainwater, Johnny Horton and Wynn Stewart Comments: Fully play-tested. I know a lot of old country songs but this collection surprised me by the number of really good worthy songs that I was not familiar with. The songs seem to be mostly 1950s or early 60s vintage. And believe it or not, the electronically enhanced stereo effect is actually effective and may have even enhanced my enjoyment of the record. Please note that the photos and liner notes on the back cover do not apply to this record in particular. They are general comments on country music applicable to many Design Records releases. So even though you might see a photo of Patsy Cline or George Jones, that doesn't mean they appear on this record. The artists/songs on this record are all listed on the front cover.Play Test Condition: Plays with superb fidelity and sounds wonderful with no skips or sticks. Background record surface noise is minimal. This record plays great - close to near mint!Visual Record Condition: Excellent condition - mostly glossy with a few light scuffs and a few fingerprint marks. The labels look great with very little wear. They are nice and clean with no writing or stickers or other such nonsense. Jacket Type and Condition: VG+ Carboard jacket with shrink wrap attached. There is an original price sticker on the shrink. There are no major creases or dents. The art work and liner notes look good. The shrink has protected the cover from general wear, but there are some rust colored spots along the spine edge that seem to be under the shrink. There are a couple of breaks in the shrink on the top edge and there are some darker spots along that top edge - some on the shrink and some on the cover.. Inner Sleeve Type and Condition: The inner sleeve is plain white paper that has darker discoloration - especially on the edges. There are a few light creases. The inner sleeve is in good shape overall though. Please see the photos to check out the condition for yourself. The shipping charge includes part of the costs for quality packing materials.
