Description: JOHN DEERE 212 KOHLER K301 12HP ENGINE BLOCK Details Engine block is in good shape, from running machine, some light wear but pretty clean overall. Standard size, pretty clean cylinder, minor light staining but valves and seats in good shape. Camshaft, tappets and governor gear are fine. Valve parts and cover are in working condition, threads are all fine with no broken bolts, good exhaust elbow. Only minor flaw I could spot is that the inner tiny hole between the valve springs and the governor gear seems to have a casting flaw or tiny chipped spot, see close ups, not large and won't affect it though, looks the same size as other Kohler engines. Nice block for a rebuild that includes everything as pictured. Should fit similar Kohler engines on 212, may fit others. Early style, please note base mount style, check machine for compatibility.Originally used on models serial # 70,000 and below. From a John Deere model 212 serial #031190 , with 12hp Kohler engine.Engine model K301AQS, engine spec 47542d, engine serial 6303032.
