Description: JB Cole (1869-1943) Pottery Folded Ashtray Seagrove North Carolina, Burnt Sugar Glaze. This was made In the late 1930s the early '40s I believe. This is unsigned as JB Cole didn't sign his pots. He stated the belt sander marks on the bottom were his signature. It is thin, what I think of as an 'old' Cole Pottery signature and it has that amazing Cole Pottery hand. This piece is in gorgeous condition and has survived for roughly 90 years this way. No cracks, chips or visible crazing. It amazes me every time I find a new piece! Approximate dimensions: 5"Diam x 2"H 13 oz Note: Used condition. Please examine all of the pictures closely, as they are part of the description. When buying pre-owned or vintage items, please expect some aging, wear and minor imperfections. All items are sold as-is. Shipping: Cost varies based on weight and location. I do my very best to package items with extra care and I do sometimes use recycled shipping when appropriate. Items are shipped within 1 business day of receiving payment. I determine the best means of shipment to your location and that is usually through USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. This will be noted in the shipping description on the item page. Returns: All returns must be postmarked no later than seven days after receiving the item. I do not pay return shipping for overseas shipping. I will take the item as a return but, buyer must pay shipping. It must also be returned in the same condition it was received in. About me: I graduated with a Bachelor's in Interior Design in '97. I worked in the field for 20 years successfully until having twins with medical issues. This necessitated my transition to a different kind of work and staying home with them. Recently, I have reignited my passion for design with my (mostly) vintage and antiques eBay business. I'm very small but I get to handle all aspects and make sure my customers are happy. I find it very fulfilling to find hidden treasures for others to enjoy! In a strange way, it keeps me in touch with my design roots and helps make a little money to participate in paying bills for my family. Thank you so much for looking and for your purchase, I really appreciate you!
