The case is done in an attractive wood that closes using two snaps. The case contains the following: (1) Nicely finished 2 piece wooden cleaning rod marked as "J. Purdey & Sons" (2) A bronze brush marked "12" (3) A brass jag marked "12" (4) A wool mop (5) A gun oil tin (6) Box of patches (7) Two silver shotgun snap caps marked with a "12" Although we are marking the kit as used, it appears that some of the components do not appear to have been previously used (such as the wool mop) It is worth noting that the oil in the oil tin appears to have leaked out and stained the bottom of the case where the tin is stored. However, the staining did not leak through the underside of the wooden box. The James Purdey & Sons Ltd brand proof is displayed inside the top lid. The previous owner was a collector of high-end shotguns and accessories, and this unit is likely several years old. Please review the images to get an idea of the condition.
