Description: FREE POSTAGE IN THE UK Huge, Victorian, Staffordshire, flatback ornament of the Prince Albert (Prince of Wales) & Princess Alexandra of Denmark (later Edward VII and Queen Alexandra) It was more than likely produced to celebrate the couple's engagement in September 1862 Lovely condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. There are 2 small manufacturing/firing cracks (pictures 10 & 12), but no later damage. Some nibbles to the paint on their hair, and the gilding has faded (particularly the flowers on her skirt). There are some slight marks and scratches, commensurate with age, but nothing significant.
