Description: The vacuum bag and handle will be disconnected for shipping. The low, normal, and shaggy selector works (look at the last pics that show the selector in low, normal, and shag) but it needs effort to move it. I don't know how it worked back in the old days. Logically, I assume silicone lubricant or lithium grease will help the movement. The selector raises or lowers the back wheels/rear vacuum height from the ground. I personally would leave it to the closest setting to the floor since the front is where the vacuums actual suction is and the selector doesn't raise or lower the front. Again, it does move in all selector levels *raises and lowers.) The vacuum sounds very powerful. I don't know how it's supposed to sound, but the motor sounds Loud and proud (made in the USA like an old corvette motor.) This vacuum cleaner was maintained by a shop with the last date being 03-23-23. The belt looks in good shap and , the vacuum works. The front has the typical pitting from bumping into furniture, but as you know, these models are built like tanks, which is why they are so popular today. Take a look at the pics and enjoy!
