Description: Large Hanau German Solid Hand-hammered Serving Tray with Dome Lid hallmarked on both lid and tray with Armorial Shield and detailed Floral Garland Applied around Rim Edges and Ornate Handle Presented is a large hand-crafted serving tray with a dome lid with and incredible detailed Armorial crest shield on the side of the lid. It is hallmark on both the under-rim of the tray and the dome lid for Solid Silver I believe to be of Hanau, German origin. Both the Tray and the lid are edged by a detailed floral Applica matching the detailed detachable bolted handle. It is in beautiful condition with only some dings, the handle does have some wiggle or movement and may need tightening and both tray and lid have some fine scratches from gentle use and care.Measure: 18 5/8” inches across, 13” inches wide, 7 1/8” inch high to of handle of domed lid Silver Tray interior flat: 14 1/8” across, 8 ¼” inches wideWeight: 5 pounds 8 ounces or 88 ounces on my postal scale or 2523 grams Marked: marks for Hanau German silver with Fantasy Marks on lid and tray of triangle with tri-star, a crown and lines and dots in square Condition: some slight bend or dent in tray, some dings, lid handle is slightly lose on lid, a great armorial decoration on the side of the lid, some scratches from use and care. ` I am happy to answer questions and to send additional photos thanks for looking and please see my other auctions.
