Description: Gorgeous Vintage Handmade Ceramic Owl Night Light/Table Lamp ~ High Quality I wish I was a better photographer, because the photos don't do him justice. The brown glaze is mottled with olive green, orange and goldish yellow, which gives the finish a lot of depth. The owl also has something that I've rarely seen, a ceramic "foot" which locks into the body of the owl and securely holds the light in place (rather than just a spring socket in a hole as is most often the case), and gives the lamp additional stability. The socket/cord/plug is BRAND NEW, so much safer than a 40-year-old plug, and has an on/off switch for convenience. Whoever made this piece did an excellent job. There are no markings except a small number that I couldn't clearly read next to the light socket on the inside of the "foot", but I believe that is just a mold number. Seriously, this is a high-quality piece of handmade ceramics from back in the day. I wish I could keep it, but I have no more space, so I want to share this gorgeous owl with you.
