Description: Monumentally stunning.......1950's sculptural lamp with 4 lower brass coned sockets. There's 100's of interesting Majestic, Laurel, and Stiffel lamp designs (and God knows a seemingly endless supply of Tony Paul for Westwood). But to be honest, I think one would be hard pressed to find a lamp this unique. I think what's unique is the wonderfully sculptural design that does NOT descend into the world of 'kitsch'. A white enameled wood bass, upon which 4 'Medusa-esque' brass rods curve upward culminating in brass cones that hold candelabra sized bulbs. Push-button switch on base turns on/off the lowerbulbs, while a socket switch controls the main bulb. Condition:EXCELLENT. Large, brand new slightly off-white linen shade taken from Jonathan Adler's 'Ojai' lamp.Roughly 29 inches tall (perfect table lamp height). Appears to have been newly re-wired for safety. Frankly, it's drop-dead gorgeous. As a mid century lamp lover, collector and seller, my philosophy is simple and two pronged;1) RARITY AND BEAUTY One can easily buy a great $1000 contemporary lamp from Holly Hunt or Circa lighting, or Flos (to name a few) but the lamps I sell will never be produced again and I appreciate their rarity. 2) HONESTY I never sell "Frankenstein" lamps (odd pieces slapped together, slathered in new paint (oddly enough usually fire engine red) and passed off as having an exotic (usually Italian, or Gino Sarfatti ) origin. Buyer beware, I say! This will ship either FedX home or UPS for safety. If any shipping cost is less it will be refunded without question.
