Description: I purchased this antique tea pot in 2015 in a secluded mountain village in Guilin, China called Longsheng, which sits among the stunning Longji rice terraces (If you haven't seen them, look it up!) Despite the fact that I speak Chinese fairly well, the man whose shop I purchased it from would not negotiate on the price of this teapot, despite lowering the price on a few other things I wanted to buy. His unwillingness to budge on the price for this piece is a testament to the inherent value and beauty of the teapot. As far as age goes, he told me that it was from the 1940's or 50's. It is made from a combination of materials, and has a gorgeous turquoise interior which complements the colorful and unique exterior pattern. It has a nice sturdy feel to it due to the materials. It is a truly exquisite piece. Please note that there is a very small crack on the spout (see last photo), so if you plan on using this for more than just display, the crack would need to be sealed to avoid any possible leakage of water.
