ThEY used premium THICK saddle leather and double lock stitched waxed linen thread. Will last practically forever its been properly cleaned and conditioned..only minor flaws are cosmetic..snap works great..this holster has been dyed black probably in the early 1960s .thus was commonly done post ww2 in Korea and thru Vietnam ,it started off tan and now has a beautiful patina..whoever dyed this holster did an outstanding job..looks better than pics shoe..see my feedback and other fine vintage gunleather..
