Description: Description Fender Custom Shop / Jimmy Page Signature Telecaster (Jouneyman Relic) [S/N R134453] Jimmy Page Signature Telecaster now in stock Super lightweight at 3.02kg The Fender Custom Shop Custom Artist collection Jimmy Page Signature Telecaster is a faithful reproduction of the Telecaster given to Jimmy Page by Jeff Beck, the successor guitarist of THE YARDBIRDS, a band that gained popularity for its psychedelic blues/rock music. This 1959 Telecaster with a white blonde finish and rosewood fretboard was fitted with eight round mirrors by Page to make it a "kinetic work of art for musical inspiration." The Telecaster was then further customized to become known as the "Dragon guitar." The Dragon was used on one of the most important albums in rock history, "Led Zeppelin I." Like the original model, the Jimmy Page Signature Telecaster features an off-center bonded two-piece ash body, an 8-hole pickguard, and a custom Journeyman Relic lacquer finish. The custom Jimmy Page 1959-shaped maple neck is tinted to mimic the aging of the lacquer and features a 7.25"-radius flat-lam rosewood fingerboard with vintage frets. The guitar is equipped with two hand-wound 1958 Telecaster pickups, both of which are hand-wound in the same way as the originals, and are wired with modern wiring with both pickups in position 2. Other features include a Telecaster bridge with threaded steel saddles for both top-load and string-through, vintage-style tuning machines, and a bone nut.
