Further Details: All of the included items were purchased roughly during or around the Summer of 2008. The original motherboard suffered an electrical issue at the cpu power socket - the plastic melted, however, neither the power supply nor the CPU were injured, only the plastic housing the female end on the motherboard. EVGA replaced the motherboard for free with a brand-new unit; please see included relevant images. The small fan that blows fresh air across the power delivery heatsinks was noisy after a short while, but instead of doing an RMA for something so minor, I replaced it with a smaller, more powerful and still quieter fan. It fit perfectly within the housing for the original fan and does at least as good of a job cooling, although, many people at the time said the fan there was not even needed to begin with (but better to be safe than sorry). Please see images for this fan replacement. The only thing technically wrong with the motherboard is that one of the RAM latches is broken - as can be clearly seen in the included images - however, this doesn't affect performance or reliability at all as any RAM stick for that slot pops in tight and safe regardless. As stated, you can see this minor 'defect' clearly in the images, as well all four ram slots successfully filled and operating. As for the CPU - way back when, I was interested in overclocking, but I was also a baby about it, so I limited it to an easy 3.6 Ghz (450Mhz x8, up from the default of 400 MHz x8) lapped the heat spreader to ensure coldest temps and further, replaced the included cooler with the same Ultra 120 eXtreme listed above. I have included an image above from way back during the dark ages, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, of me testing this overclock with 18 hours of Prime Blend stress test. A recent test, also imaged above, of the stock 400x8 shows the CPU, after more than a decade of living safely in a box on a shelf in a climate-controlled basement, is still perfectly functioning. If you still want to overclock it, I won't guarantee it (not a good idea for eBay sales IMO), but I would VERY surprised if it didn't do AT LEAST what it used to do. Also the CPU lapping left me with a rather reflective sheen, but some minor sand paper grooves which you cannot feel with a finger are present. Of course, lapping has fallen out of favor since then, with people now de-lid-ing for a few extra degrees. As for the RAM and GPU - the operate as they should, I only ever ran them at spec and didn't do anything interesting with them - no overclock of exotic cooling, nothing really to talk about that looking up specs cannot already tell you. The only thing of note is that the bios settings currently set on the motherboard are mostly Auto and so the RAM is running down at 800Mhz - boots easily but can run faster with OCZ's specified settings.
