One of the higher end models in the Kawai K-series guitars, this is a very nice guitar from my guitar collection, with an ash body and a 5 piece maple/mahogany neck through that reminds me of the high end guitars from the 70's and 80's. This guitar feels great and plays extremely well, the edgeless ebony fretboard is beautiful and deep in color, the frets are in great condition, the instrument has been thoroughly cleaned and set up for low action and great playability. At some point, it havev been replaced the original pickups with a quality set from Seymour Duncan. The controls function just like the originals, with two volumes, two tones, a coil tap switch, and a unique rotary pickup select switch for each pickup. The bridge has also been replaced with a modern Tune-O-Matic style bridge. One tuning machine has also been replaced.
