Description: Offered for your consideration is a very attractive clear glass cake stand made by the Dalzell, Gilmore, and Leighton Glass Company (1888-1899) in their number 39D pattern. Also known as Arkansas or Big Diamond, this pattern was introduced in 1890. The cake stand measures 9 inches (22.9 cm) diameter inside rim, 9.25 inches (23.5 cm) overall diameter, and is 6 inches (15.2 cm) tall. This cake stand is being sold in "as is" condition. There are no cracks nor repairs, but there are two chips along rim, the larger of which is 1 inch (2.5 cm) long and shown in last photo. The other is very small. There are few light surface scratches on top of platter and minor roughness on bottom of base. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, and other minor imperfections due to the glass making process used at the time. Cake stand will be shipped from a smoke-free home and will be packed securely for shipping. Good luck and thank you for your interest.
