Dress - vintage 50s ? Tan -Shear Material Retro Clothing, Size 10

Add this original vintage piece to your wardrobe and make a statement wherever you go. I hand sewed the hem of the slip. I hand sewed a 1 inch section of the seam around the waist because the stitching was coming loose. I steamed the dress. I did not clean the dress because I did not want to risk damaging the dress. The material is very shear and delicate. The dress needs cleaning. The dress is lovely and appears to be quite old. I am not sure of its age. It has metal snap closures and a side zipper in the built in slip. I am thinking that it is 1940’s -1965 ? TALON zipper style suggests mid to late 40’s. The dress only has one tag remaining with a red order number of 0676 and a blue number of 203915. I am assuming that this dress was made by ILGWU. I removed the top hook and eye from the top of the side zipper because it was rusted. The top side material over the side zipper reveals some orange coloring due to the rusted hook and eye that I removed. The zipper closes the dress well without the hook and eye. The hook and eye are, therefore, not really needed. The slip hem underside reveals some small orange stains here and there due to aging, however, these stains are small and on the underside of the slip. They are not noticeable when looking at the outside of the dress. This lovely vintage dress is a one of a kind and appears to be in great condition for its age.
