Unfortunately, as a new millennium was dawning, the "Disney Renaissance" came to a rather abrupt end as box office returns began to disappear... and more sober minds reversed course and returned to the name by which the company's crown jewels would be known: "Walt Disney Feature Animation" and the "Walt Disney Animation Studios." The compass was Made in Hong Kong and was designed as a promotional tool for the new branding of Disney Animation. Crafted with a plastic casing, the compass includes a metal dial and pin that opens the case. The case opens fully, as shown; requiring only slight pressure to open for full display. Includes original faux suede drawstring pouch. Dimensions: Measures approx. 2" x 2.25" Condition: Excellent; nicely preserved in dark storage for over a quarter century.
